The students learned how to make straight lines using rulers in math.

The class learned a new game called Penny/Nickel exchange.  The first graders have been learning about pennies and nickels.

The first graders will have reading homework every week starting on Monday.  Your child will be bringing home a note attached to the homework explaining how it will work.  They will get the homework on Mondays and it will need to be returned to school by Friday.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

For Work on Writing this week, the students worked on their squiggle stories.  Each page has a squiggle mark that the students turn into a picture and then they write a story about it.  The first graders were very creative with their squiggle marks!

  • I will be gone Monday through Wednesday next week.  I will try to check my email, but if you need an immediate response about something, please call the office.
