The count down is on for the last week of school.  The first graders have been enjoying popping a balloon at the end of each day to see what kinds of activity they will be participating in the next day.  Sidewalk chalk will be on Monday.

The first graders shared their Safety videos with Miss McClintock's class and Mrs. Caltrider's class on Thursday.  The students were excited to have the opportunity to show their work off.  The students did a great job.  Their rubrics, packets and projects will be coming home this week.

The class has been learning about the four kinds of sentences.    They went on a sentence hunt using their book box books to find 2 sentences for each one.

The first graders planted the flowers that we bought with our can money during enrichment time.  Thanks to all those that brought money in.  We will end the year learning about bugs.

  • The end of the year spelling test will be Tuesday, May 20th.
  • There will be a 1:30 dismissal on Friday, May 23rd.
  • Our class raised the most money for the Relay for Life fundraiser.  We raised a little over $72.  Our class goal was $40.  A big THANKS to those that donated money.  Our prize is an extra recess.
  • The Blank Park Zoo trip was a lot of fun.  Thanks to the parents that volunteered!
