What is a Whangdoodle?

On Tuesday, The American Legion was at our school to do a flag raising for our students.  Our Cub Scouts were asked to wear their uniforms during the ceremony.  Thanks to all that participated!
We are still working on our mental images in reading.  We are reading the book The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles during milk time.  The students made predictions on what they think the whangdoodle looks like.  They can't wait to see if their predictions are right!

The K-5 students had an assembly on the football field on Friday for reaching their goal of 500 bucket fillers.  The cheerleaders fired the students up with their cheers!  Our kids are working hard to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe.

  • The students will not be having class on September 17th.  Teachers will be working on AIW (Authentic Intellectual Work).
  • Homecoming is the week of September 18th.  An email was sent out with the dress up days.  Tuesday-hat day, Wednesday-pajama day, Thursday-mix-match day, Friday-spirit day.
  • There will not be any reading homework this week.
  • Please continue to read at home and write down those minutes on the September reading calendar.
